Confidentiality 

Family Outreach Ontario Christian Addiction Support Services is dedicated to help those who are affected by addictions. The fact is that shame, guilt, fear and denial are the major roadblocks to seeking help. Therefore, we believe that it is imperative that confidentiality and anonymity be a foundation for each and every person(s) seeking help. Most of the people desiring to seek help have NEVER felt able to “tell their secret”. It can be hurtful and/or harmful to discover that someone’s sharing outside of the members involved is discovered by the afflicted. We acknowledge that we are dealing with shame, guilt, fear and denial. In most instances we are dealing with fragile, broken, and at times, volatile relationships. At Family Outreach Ontario, our dedicated volunteers will handle each individual(s) that contacts us and assign a “case number”. This “case number” maintains anonymity when discussing or reporting within Family Outreach Ontario. This internal reporting is for setting up interventions, applying for re-habilitation placements and acquiring the necessary information to best assist with the afflicted. Internal reporting is also necessary to gauge FOOCASS's effectiveness in the community it serves so as to make improvements to better serve the needs of the afflicted.
